Nose : complex with notes of candied fruit (roasted pineapple, baked apple), spices, cinnamon, vanilla, and a long-lasting freshness.
Palate : lively and assertive attack, round and balanced flavours, notes of liquorice and sweet spices.
Finish : complex, vibrant, irresistibly indulgent.
Cru : Grande Champagne, 1st in the Cognac AOC. Clay-limestone terroir.
Harvest : 1975.
Double distillation on lees.
Ageing : over 50 years in fine-grained French oak barrels.
