Product Discovery

The Colour

Amber with glints of copper.

The Aroma

Floral notes like iris, wild carnation and honeysuckle meet suave notes of red fruit like cherry. Aromas of earth and rancio come to the fore, with fragrant notes of sandalwood and cedar.

The Taste

Robust, fresh flowers greet the palate, preceding spices and hints of currant. The flavours evolve to reveal unique woody notes with an incomparable aromatic explosion and a long finish in the mouth.

To showcase L’Or de Jean Martell – Réserve du Château Chanteloup, Maison Martell created in collaboration with Baccarat – one of France’s most revered manufacturers of fine crystal, founded in 1764 – an object of exquisite elegance: a decanter evoking a single, pure drop of cognac, which complements the richness and refinement of the blend within.

The decanter is nested inside a beautiful crafted wooden box.

Demonstrating the virtuosity of the Martell Cellar Master, L’Or de Jean Martell – Réserve du Château blends more than 1,400 eaux-de-vie from the four finest terroirs in the Cognac region.

After blending, L’Or de Jean Martell – Réserve du Château is further aged in barrels of 300 year-old oak, sourced from France’s most ancient forests. The ageing process takes place first in a historic, dedicated cellar in Cognac, and is then completed in the chosen château.

For the first edition of the collection, presented in 2024, the ageing process has been completed at the Château de Chanteloup, once the home of the Martell family.
