Tasting notes :

Folle Blanche, a historic grape variety

Folle Blanche, the king grape variety before the phyloxera crisis, is today very rare in the cognac region, barely 1% of the grape variety. For good reason, its cultivation is more technical and delicate. However, this grape variety is recognized for the finesse of its eaux-de-vie with an intense floral bouquet.

A grape variety that has fascinated the Thorin family for over 70 years

In the 1950s, André Thorin started the movement by planting the estate's first Folle Blanche vines. A work of patience and passion, Cognac Folle Blanche transcribes the know-how of the Thorin family.

Passionate about his terroir, that of Grande Champagne, Claude Thorin has made it his mission to (re)discover forgotten grape varieties, notably that of Folle Blanche. A grape variety that he has always greatly appreciated.

La Folle Blanche has the ability to give rise to fine and delicate cognacs, which no other grape variety does as well. »

Claude continues this tradition today by revealing a crazy white woman over 30 years old.

The aromas of Folle Blanche reveal themselves over time

The Folle Blanche is magnified here by a long aging which reveals all the aromatic intensity and richness of this grape variety.
